CCTV video surveillance is a major tool in combating criminal and unethical practises as it allows real time monitoring of events as they happen. These events are also recorded for future reference or for tracking past events. Existence of cameras deters criminals from conducting any acts as they can be easily caught as they do their acts, or tracked in future. CCTVs can also indirectly control the conduct of employees as their activities can also be monitored.
